Summary

SPEAK AGAIN THE ANCIENT OATHS,

LIFE BEFORE DEATH。
STRENGTH BEFORE WEAKNESS。
JOURNEY BEFORE DESTINATION。

AND RETURN TO MEN THE SHARDS THEY ONCE BORE。

THE KNIGHTS RADIANT MUST STAND AGAIN。

Roshar is a world of stone and storms。 Uncanny tempests of incredible power sweep across the rocky terrain so frequently that they have shaped ecology and civilization alike。 Animals hide in shells, trees pull in branches, and grass retracts into the soilless ground。 Cities are built only where the topography offers shelter。

It has been centuries since the fall of the ten consecrated orders known as the Knights Radiant, but their Shardblades and Shardplate remain: mystical swords and suits of armor that transform ordinary men into near-invincible warriors。 Men trade kingdoms for Shardblades。 Wars are fought for them, and won by them。

One such war is about to swallow up a soldier, a brightlord and a young woman scholar。

Widely acclaimed for his work completing Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time saga, Brandon Sanderson now begins a grand cycle of his own, one every bit as ambitious and immersive。

This is only half of the full book, but I've been enjoying this immensely。 The mysteries keep piling up! Keeping track of the names has been confusing though。 This is only half of the full book, but I've been enjoying this immensely。 The mysteries keep piling up! This was a tough read, as there is lots and lots of world building in this book。 I love Brandon Sanderson's writing, and I think he is a master of the fantasy genre。 However, his books do take a while to get in to due to the lengthy descriptions and introductions to so many new concepts at the start。 However, once the plot begins to pick up (which is only slightly in part 1 of this book) it is marvellous。 I would recommend Brandon Sanderson's books to every fantasy fan。 This was a tough read, as there is lots and lots of world building in this book。 I love Brandon Sanderson's writing, and I think he is a master of the fantasy genre。 However, his books do take a while to get in to due to the lengthy descriptions and introductions to so many new concepts at the start。 However, once the plot begins to pick up (which is only slightly in part 1 of this book) it is marvellous。 I would recommend Brandon Sanderson's books to every fantasy fan。 。。。more

🖤🖤Review🖤🖤Brandon Sanderson is just on a level all his own!! This might have been my favorite Sanderson book not gonna lie。 Don’t get me wrong- still love the Mistborn and Skyward series but this book was just *chefs kiss*! Here’s my thoughts (even though I’m like the last person to read this book 😂🙈):-The world building is insane! It felt so unique and incredibly detailed! There is a LOT of world building and it did get a little overwhelming at times but it all comes together and leaves you wit 🖤🖤Review🖤🖤Brandon Sanderson is just on a level all his own!! There was a few slow points here and there where it got bogged down my information but it all built to an amazing ending! And as always Sanderson’s plot twists where on point!! -Loved all the characters! This is a Multiple POV book and each character is developed so perfectly! What’s impressive is I found myself rooting for & growing attached to not only the main characters but the side characters as well! Love my Bridge Four babies!!! 🖤Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️。5 。。。more

A masterpiece is what this book is。 This book is on another level。 I have not read a book with so much finesse, so much thought, and so much elegance to it。 I never understood why people say Brandon Sanderson's writing is accessible but, I finally understood why。 The book is easy to read and follow。 Usually, I'm not too fond of fighting or war scenes because I find it confusing but, there is none of that with this book。 The writing of the book is just so clear。 I really don't mind the pace in t A masterpiece is what this book is。 This book is on another level。 I have not read a book with so much finesse, so much thought, and so much elegance to it。 I never understood why people say Brandon Sanderson's writing is accessible but, I finally understood why。 The book is easy to read and follow。 Usually, I'm not too fond of fighting or war scenes because I find it confusing but, there is none of that with this book。 The writing of the book is just so clear。 I really don't mind the pace in this book。 I know some people say that it is slow and whatever, but I think the pacing is perfect, and I love all the details and multiple POVs。 I love this book。 I have nothing else to say 。。。more

Wirklich interessante Welt!

Have literally just finished it and wow。 What an amazing story。 I can't wait to start on part 2 and I'm excited to see where the characters stories go。 Sanderson really developes great characters even in this Part 1。 You really care not only for the main characters but numerous smaller side characters。 Especially in Kaladins story。 Absolutely brilliant can't wait to read more。 Have literally just finished it and wow。 What an amazing story。 I can't wait to start on part 2 and I'm excited to see where the characters stories go。 Sanderson really developes great characters even in this Part 1。 You really care not only for the main characters but numerous smaller side characters。 Especially in Kaladins story。 Absolutely brilliant can't wait to read more。 。。。more

Very good fantasy book。 The thing I like the least is that it is divided in two parts, though this first part feels like a whole book, so it is fine。。。 But I love big books, so I'm going to get the edition with the full books next time。I enjoy Brandon Sanderson's stories, it seems, but I don't LOVE them - I think there is a bit too much worldbuilding and a smidge too little character work going on for me。 Still very enjoyable, but I've come to the conclusion these are never going to be my very f Very good fantasy book。 The thing I like the least is that it is divided in two parts, though this first part feels like a whole book, so it is fine。。。 But I love big books, so I'm going to get the edition with the full books next time。I enjoy Brandon Sanderson's stories, it seems, but I don't LOVE them - I think there is a bit too much worldbuilding and a smidge too little character work going on for me。 Still very enjoyable, but I've come to the conclusion these are never going to be my very favourite books, because of this。 But I will continue with the series。Some characters are great, don't get me wrong - Kaladin is the best - but I do prefer more character driven stories, and these feel more plot driven。Also, after Elantris, I feel like the author tends to write very similar characters in his stories (the girl is witty and too outspoken, the male protagonist has an incredibly good heart and is super determined despite the soul-crushing situations he's facing。。。) - good characters, but a bit repetitive。。。 I should space his books more next time, to feel the repetition less。No other complaint from me, though! :) 。。。more
